New Airflow flags at FGC

With the weather conditions sometimes very ‘linksy’ at Formby Golf Club, we are delighted to introduce new Tacit Golf airflow flags from Tacit Golf North making their debut at Formby GC.

They look fantastic and should help reduce strain on the pins during inclement weather.

‘The Lost Holes’ – 1984

1984 saw the changes to the course due to coastal erosion, below is the old Par 3 9th hole running along the coast and an overview of the ‘lost holes’.
Disappointing at the time to lose them but in their place came three of the finest holes on the course today. #linksgolf #1884

Paul Kinnear wins Leeds Cup by 5 strokes

Member Paul Kinnear put on a masterclass to land the Leeds Cup after a string of near misses earlier this month. Paul lost in a play-off to Phil Archer in 2022 and was second behind Daniel Croft last year but he made no mistake in getting his name on the oldest trophy in professional golf.

The 30-year-old opened with a four-under 65 and followed it up with a 64 on a blustery and wet second round to win by five from Haydn McCullen, Garry Houston and Jamie Howarth.

Amazing golf, well played Paul!
