Current Opportunities
1st Tee Starter Marshal
Purpose of Role: The 1st Tee Starter & Marshal plays a key role in delivering an exceptional visitor experience and ensuring the smooth, efficient flow of play on the course.
We’re looking for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic individual to become the welcoming face of the club as our new 1st Tee Starter Marshal.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys golf, meeting people and delivering an outstanding member and visitor experience. You’ll play a key role in greeting visiting golfers, coordinating first tee operations, supporting pace of play and helping maintain the high presentation standards of the club and golf facilities.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a calm and professional manner, and the ability to thrive in a private golf club environment. Previous experience is beneficial, and confidence driving a golf buggy is essential.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Exercise discretion and authority in managing pace of play while maintaining the club’s standards of courtesy and etiquette
- Uphold the traditions, etiquette and presentation standards of the club at all times
- Welcoming and assisting visiting golfers
- Coordinating with the Pro Shop and club office
- Starting groups from the 1st tee
- Monitoring and encouraging good pace of play
- Supporting clubhouse and practice area presentation
- Delivering exceptional customer service at all times
