Formby Golf Club hosts a number of Open Competitions throughout the year including the famous ‘Formby Hare’.

The Formby Hare is an elite amateur scratch competition played over 36-holes. Players taking part in Formby Hare an S&A Bowl will compete for the Lancashire Links Trophy which is a 72-hole World Amateur Golf Ranking event.
The 77th staging of the Formby Hare was played on Sunday 17th May 2026, please click here to view the tournament results.
Registration details for the 2027 Formby Hare will be announced later in the year.
The 2026 Formby Junior Open will be played on Monday August 10th.
