The Red Course is the shortest of Formby Golf Club´s courses. It is home to winter golf, mixed competitions and the annual Hippo Competition.

The Yellow course is Formby´s main course of the day for friendly golf, but it is also used for Club Medals in Spring and Autumn when the days are shorter.

For over 100 years the White course was the longest and toughest of Formby Golf Club´s courses. It is still used for all of the Club´s traditional major competitions.

The Blue Course was created primarily to host Major Championships, such as the Amateur Championship and the Brabazon. Members describe the championship course as “the Blue Monster”. The current blue course record of 66 is held by Matt Jaeger, achieved during the the 2009 Amateur Championship which was eventually won by Matteo Mannesero.
